YU WANG
Yu Wang (b.1992, Wuhan, China) is an artist based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Chongqing, China. She graduated from Frank Mohr Institute (MFA in Painting) in 2021, and completed her BFA (2015) and MFA (2018) from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.
In her recent painting practice, she has created a series of paintings closely related to memory and supernatural imagery through a combination of landscape, daily myths, memory, and writing. Attempting to look back at humanity from nature or landscape, embracing nature and its invisible spiritual dimension, she tries to present how we exist in a multi-dimensional world in a still image.
